Network Analysis

This visualization shows the results of a network analysis of the attributes of the sources and targets of extralegal violence. One of the main research questions behind Riot Acts concerned the relationship between different acts of violence throughout this period. This particular network analysis explored the period between the end of the Revolution, and the "Revolution of 1800." As the project continues to develop, additional network analysis will be performed, both on specific periods of interest and on broader spans of time. Select "sources" to see the network weighted around the sources, of violence, and "targets" to see the network weighted around the targets of violence.
